About Us
Sahaaya Mithra is a student-driven social impact organization based at RGUKT Srikakulam. We turn collective student effort into concrete help— financial assistance, health and welfare outreach, environmental action, and large-scale participation events—always with verification, transparency, and care for people in crisis.
Our members span the general body, elected officers, branch and student representatives, and faculty coordination. Together we maintain a system where genuine needs are identified responsibly, resources are mobilized quickly, and every rupee and every hour of service is directed toward real impact on campus and in the wider community.
Our Founding Purpose
Sahaaya Mithra exists so that no student should face medical or personal emergencies alone, and so that service becomes a habit—not a one-off. We were founded to give structure to compassion: clear processes, trusted verification, and a campus-wide ethic that says standing for each other is part of who we are at RGUKT. That purpose still guides every initiative we run, from Donation Day to relief drives and community welfare programs.
Our Journey
How student initiative became an organized force for good on campus and beyond.
Student roots on campus

Programs that scale
From emergency assistance to community welfare and campus-wide drives, the organization expanded repeatable models: verification, fundraising, and transparent reporting that members could trust.
A culture of service
Hundreds of students participate through representatives, officers, and general body involvement—keeping help timely, dignified, and aligned with institutional values.
Our Ethical Commitment
Six principles that every member and initiative is expected to uphold.

Accountability
Responsible handling of contributions with updates contributors can follow with confidence.
Empathy
Support rooted in respect—meeting people where they are, without stigma or spectacle.
Integrity
Honest verification and refusal to compromise trust for short-term gains.
